3D Animation
|
|
Some of these animations were very large and then compressed with the DIVX encoder. You must download this DIVX Player to view the larger animation files labeled "DIVX". Demo Tape (Realplayer is needed to view this animtion) (1774k) This older demo is video captured from a VHS tape. It was created using 3DMax 2.0, Poser2, Photoshop, and Abobe Premier. It was completed around the year 2000.

| (Max 4.0, DIVX, 11 Meg) I created this during my time at Halliburton. It is a long animation (2:50) demonstrating how these new drill components wratch on to each other. This was also created to demonstrate how explosive charges are loaded and detonated underground. This animation took months to create. |
(Max 2.5 & Photoshop, 9 Meg) This Transformer was created using Max 2.0. This is an animation of a plane transforming into a robot. I created the model and texture maps for this scene using Photoshop. I also created and manipulated the lights and camera. This is based off a real toy, but modified in both design and materials. It transforms just like the toy. |
(Max 2.0, 3 Meg) This scene was created with 3D STUDIO MAX 1.2 and 3DS4. The terrain was created with TERRAIN DEMO. The trees were done with the TREE FACTORY plug-in. (Additional trees were created with 3DS4 using Silicon Gardens) I created the texture maps with Photoshop and all models with 3DS4 and 3DMax. There are also animated birds and an Aztec statue. |
| (Max 2.0 & Adobe Premier, 2 MEG, DIVX) This one has a morphing energy sphere with animated colors and tubes. There is also a robot that floats by into the corridor in the distance. The door is initially closed and then opens. This is the first part of an animation. It continues with the Antman dancing animation. |
(3DS4, Max 1.0 & Photoshop2, 3 MEG) I created this "Futurstic Virtual Art Gallery" a long time ago, but though I never finished it the way I wanted, I thought it was interesting enough to show! One of the paintings has an animation I created for Flight Safety, Int'l. The animation is of a plane becoming transparent and then focusing on the wheel hydraulics. This one has sound as well. I used Animator Pro to edit this. |
(Max 2.0, Photoshop, Animator Pro, 2 MEG, DIVX) I used Biped to animate this little, alien antman dancing. I also modeled and animated everything in this scene. This scene has a large futuristic city with a camera zooming out to reveal the city is inside a room behind a force field. Photoshop was used to create all textures. If you look closely, you can see the headquarters of D.C.'s Legion of Superheroes! |
(3DMax8, PhotoshopCS, AutoCad 2007, 9 Meg) I created this fly through animation of of a new design area for a client! The models were created in AutoCad and rendered in 3DMax 8. I also used PhotoshopCS to create the textures.

(3DMax8, PhotoshopCS, 8 Meg) I modeled Jack Benny's face for a larger project for an Advanced 3DMax8 course I took at Richland College in 2006. The render looks different than this image in that I used different lighting and materials!
